The invention relates to a meter of the heating value of gases, consisting of an outer mantle with thermostatically controlled heating and with at least one inlet for air and the test gas, and of a measuring block placed inside the outer mantle, wherein the outer mantle (10) is cylindrical and equipped with the heating mantle (101) on the outside, its bottom part has an outer sensor (102) of the electrical long-distance thermometer of the outer thermostatic apparatus (2) placed axially in the wall, and simultaneously the measuring block (11) is cylindrical, with an axially directed through-hole (113), it is coaxially placed inside the outer mantle (10), its upper part contains the electrical heating block (111) inserted axially, its bottom part contains an axially placed internal sensor (112) of the electrical long-distance thermometer of the internal thermostatic apparatus (3), and the heating mantle (101) and the external sensor (102), and the electrical heating block (111) and the internal sensor (112) are interconnected via the thermostatic apparatus (2, 3), adapted for the maintaining of a constant temperature by regulation of the input to the heating mantle (101) to which the measuring apparatus (31) of the electrical input is also connected. Another principle of the invention consists in the method of operation of the meter, involving first the calibration stage, and subsequently the measuring stage takes place involving introduction and combustion of the test gas in the meter (1), with the measurement, by means of the measuring apparatus (31). |
