摘要 PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), a driving apparatus and a driving method of the LCD are provided to perform a polarity conversion of a data signal by using a common voltage conversion method thereby preventing a flicker phenomenon in a line conversion. CONSTITUTION: The LCD comprises a liquid crystal panel assembly, a gate driving unit and a transmission gate unit which are connected to the liquid crystal panel assembly, a data driving unit(500) connected to the transmission gate unit, a gradation voltage production unit(800) connected to the data driving unit(500) and a control unit(600) for controlling the entire devices. The gradation voltage production unit(800) produces gradation voltages of plural positive and negative polarities(+)(-) related to the luminance of the LCD. The data driving unit(500) selects a gradation voltage(V+,V-) from the gradation voltage production unit(800) and applies the selected voltage to the transmission gate unit as a data signal. The data driving unit(500) includes a shift register(501), a digital-analog(D/A) converter(502) and an output buffer(503) connected in turn. The shift register(501) and the output buffer(503) are connected to the signal control unit(600) and the D/A converter(502) is connected to the gradation voltage production unit(800).
