METHOD FOR PREPARING NATAMYCIN FROM STREPTOMYCES NATALENSIS

PURPOSE: A method for preparing natamycin from Streptomyces natalensis is provided, thereby increasing productivity of natamycin from Streptomyces natalensis by optimally regulating medium composition and culture condition. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing natamycin from Streptomyces natalensis(ATCC 27448) comprises adding 1 to 2%(w/v) of bean protein and 0.2 to 0.5%(w/v) of yeast extract as nitrogen sources, and 3 to 6%(w/v) of glucose and lactose in a ratio of 1:3 as carbon sources into the culture medium for preparing natamycin; and further adding 0.01 to 1%(w/v) of lactose as a carbon source during fed-batch fermentation of Streptomyces natalensis(ATCC 27448).
