<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable ink jet recording apparatus capable of conveying recording sheets with a stable electrostatic force by removing residual ink on the surface of a belt to increase a belt cleaning performance in a belt cleaning device for the ink jet recording apparatus having a belt conveying device operating with the electrostatic force. <P>SOLUTION: This ink jet recording apparatus comprises a blade means (cleaning blade) 501 for removing the ink on the surface of the conveying belt, a means for reducing the concentration of the residual ink at a first position on the downstream side in the conveying direction, and a means for wiping off the ink at a second position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
