<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platen roller cleaning mechanism capable of adhering foreign matter such as refuse adhered to a platen roller to adhesive and reliably removing the foreign matter, and printing an image of high quality by moving the platen roller in contact with the adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: A print head 11 of a cleaning mechanism of a platen roller and the platen roller 13 are movably disposed along a recording medium 16 disposed between the print head 11 and a platen roller 13. The cleaning mechanism 22 removes foreign matter adhered to the platen roller 13 while the print head 11 and the platen roller 13 are moving. The cleaning mechanism 22 consists of adhesive 22b affixed on a bottom plate 1c of a frame 1, and the foreign matter such as refuse adhered to the platen roller 13 can be reliably removed by the adhesive 22b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
