<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system wherein a remote controller with enhanced user-friendliness can be operated without causing a communication error. <P>SOLUTION: A unidirectional infrared ray communication controller 1001 is provided with a detection section 1007 to extract only a particular signal from signals subjected to gain control, and a resistor R1008 for a reference voltage is connected to the detection section 1007. The signal detected by the detection section 1007 is outputted to an infrared ray control section 1009. Similarly a two-way infrared ray communication controller is provided with a detection section to extract only a particular signal from signals subjected to gain control, and a resistor R for the reference voltage is connected to the detection section.
