<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing yeast-originating odors, by which the yeast-originating odors can simply and effectively be removed from all kinds of yeast-containing drinks, and to provide an apparatus for removing the yeast-originating odors. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus for removing the yeast-originating odor in the yeast-containing drink comprises a transporting route 16 for transporting the yeast-containing drink, a stream blower 17 for blowing steam in the yeast-containing drink, and a vacuum distiller 18 for vacuum-distilling away water from the steam-blown yeast-containing drink. When the injection of the high temperature steam with the steam blower 17 and the vacuum distillation of the water with the vacuum distiller 18 are simultaneously carried out during the flowing of the yeast-containing drink in the transport route 16, the yeast-originating odor ingredient can simply and effectively be taken out from the yeast-containing drink by the principle of the so-called steam distillation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
