<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of being battery-driven when a program is updated, while preventing errors in updating the program. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 adopting the electronic device has a flash ROM 46 in which a program is rewritably saved. The digital camera is supplied with electric power from a battery and accesses the flash ROM 46 according to the program. The digital camera 10 has an external communication circuit 48 which receives the program provided from the outside, and a battery voltage monitoring circuit 49 which detects the source voltage of the battery. Only when the voltage detected by the battery voltage monitoring circuit 29 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold voltage, the writing of the program into the flash ROM 46 is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
