<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having a protective sheet for polarizer, which maintains properties of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polarizer without causing a change in quality for a long time and which excels in mechanical and environmental characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate which is constituted by laminating a protective sheet A on each of the both sides of a polarizer P, the protective sheet A is characterized in that it is laminated with an acrylic adhesive layer C and a high water absorption layer D on one side of a base layer B which is an amorphous thermoplastic polymer, in the order of B/C/D, and that it is a laminated sheet in which the high water absorption layer D of the protective sheet A is stuck to the polarizer P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
