<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing cylinder supporting unit which can change the diameter of a printing cylinder, can quickly and easily change a printing method, and requires substantially no space in a reference point. <P>SOLUTION: This printing cylinder supporting unit is provided with a supporting frame and a supporting means mounted on the supporting frame and is designed to rotatably support one of a plurality of printing cylinders at a holding position. The supporting means includes at least three supporting elements for each axial direction end of the printing cylinder. These supporting elements are each designed to interact with the rotation surface of a bearing ring connected to the printing cylinder. One of the supporting elements is provided with a supporting ring and a suspension means for connecting the supporting ring rotatably around the axis to the supporting frame. A supporting ring rotating face is provided on the inner side of the supporting ring, and the supporting ring is designed so that, at a holding position, the supporting ring rotating face comes into contact with the rotating face of the bearing ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
