<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operation of a width adjustment mechanism of a clamping arm capable of coping with packaging bags having various sizes even during operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the packaging machine, an opening of a right clamping lever 109a and a left clamping lever 109b is adjustable by rotating an opening and closing roller 124 attached to an opening and closing lever 123 while making it slide on an opening adjustment disk 127. A width adjustment disk 125 is connected to an ascending and descending lever 152 via a turning operation lever 150 and a connecting bar 151. The ascending and descending lever 152 is connected to an ascending and descending body 156 ascending and descending via a turnable opening and closing adjustment wheel 160.
