PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waste treatment equipment that can effectively prevent damage of a discharge port even if high-temperature melt at over 1,000°C, such as slag and metal, is discharged over a long time, for example two hours or longer. SOLUTION: This waste treatment equipment is provided with a melting furnace 3 having the discharge port 2 for discharging the high temperature melt of slag and metal generated by melting general waste and industrial waste at a high temperature of over 1,000°C. The discharge port 2 is equipped with a high-temperature endurance means 6 or the like enabling long-time discharge of the high-temperature melt. In this waste treatment method, after the high-temperature melt of slag and metal is generated by melting the general waste and industrial waste at a high temperature of over 1,000°C, the high-temperature melt is continuously discharged through the discharge port 2 for two hours or longer while the discharge port 2 is cooled.
