PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic excavator which enables linear excavation up to an arbitrary distance from a ground contact surface of the hydraulic excavator by enabling a change of a position of a connecting pin for connecting a correction cylinder for a working machine with a lever for correction, and which facilitates a change to normal excavating work etc. under a state wherein the correction cylinder for the working machine is mounted. SOLUTION: This hydraulic excavator operates a boom, an arm and a bucket, which serve as working machines, by using respective hydraulic cylinders for them. The hydraulic excavator is equipped with the correction cylinder for the working machine, which is telescoped by having one end coupled to the boom and having the other end coupled to the arm, and which corrects a cutting edge of the bucket so that the cutting edge can be moved on a desired linear locus. The hydraulic excavator is equipped with: the lever for the correction, one end of which is turnably coupled to the arm and the other end of which is coupled to the other end of the correction cylinder for the working machine; and a cylinder for a connection position, which is telescoped with one end coupled to the lever for the correction and the other end coupled to the arm, and which can vary a position of a connection point between the arm and the correction cylinder for the working machine.
