PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer powder-composition redispersible in water having coagulation acceleration action, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The polymer powder-composition redispersible in water having coagulation acceleration action comprises, as the main ingredient, a homo or copolymer, one or more protective colloid and, if necessary, an antiadhesive agent and is characterized by containing one or more NR<SB>3</SB>or NR<SB>2</SB>-N-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-NR<SB>2</SB>compound or its salt or one or more of polyalkylene glycol, or its salt, having one or two NH<SB>2</SB>- terminal and a 1-6C alkylene, wherein the homo- or copolymer comprises at least one monomer selected from a group consisting of vinyl esters of a 1-15C (branched) alkylcarboxylic acid, methacrylic esters or acrylic esters of a 1-15C alcohol, vinyl aromatic compounds, olefins, dienes and vinyl halides.
