<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system of high reliability without the risk of outward leakage of hydrogen by securing a high degree of sealing property of hydrogen by a simpler structure. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen-supply line for supplying hydrogen to a fuel cell stack 1 is sealed in an airtight container 8 together with water. In such a structure, the hydrogen leaked out of the hydrogen supply line is accumulated at the top of the airtight container 8.
