BLOOD-COMPATIBLE POLYMER, AND TOOL FOR MEDICAL CARE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blood-compatible polymer having a specific equilibrium moisture content as a blood-compatible material for inhibiting adhesion and activation of platelets; and to provide a tool for medical care, having the blood-compatible polymer and heparin on a surface contacting with the blood.

SOLUTION: The water-insoluble blood-compatible polymer having a glass transition temperature of ≤0°C has 3-8% equilibrium moisture content when being wetted, and can have water (intermediate water) in a state in which an exothermic peak based on a low-temperature crystallization of the water is observed at ≤0°C in a temperature-raising process in the measurement by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).
