<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health food, a pharmaceutical and a cosmetic or a material for health foods, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics capable of readily including an active ingredient fitting product forms and to provide a method for producing those. <P>SOLUTION: The health food, the pharmaceutical and the cosmetic and material for pharmaceuticals or cosmetics each comprises a hydrophilic component as an active ingredient. The hydrophilic component is obtained from a raw material composed of a part of a plant body belonging to the genus Baccharis L. in which at least one kind of substance selected from chlorogenic acid, p-coumaric acid and 4,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid is detected as an index substance. Bud and flower bud or stem fresh leaf or stem is preferably used as the part in which at least one kind of substance selected from chlorogenic acid, p-coumaric acid and 4,5-dicaffeoylquinic acid is detected as an index substance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
