<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency air bag-attached cushioning vest satisfactorily absorbing the shock of an accident. <P>SOLUTION: The emergency air bag-attached cushioning vest 10 is designed to protect such a wearer as a driver of a two-wheeled vehicle, and comprises a single air bag 1, and an inflator 2 expanding the air bag 1. The inflator has a closely sealed cartridge 4 filled with high pressure gas and an opening device 5 opening the cartridge. The air bag has a sewn part 3, and the space of the sewn part opens according to expansion of the air bag. The emergency air bag-attached cushioning vest escapes with a smaller flowing-out amount of high pressure gas than that jetting out from the cartridge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
