<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device in which a valve 3 of an EGR control valve can be easily moved from a total closure position to the total opening side even when deposit is attached to an outer circumferential part of the valve 3 of the EGR control valve. <P>SOLUTION: A valve opening degree of the valve 3 in the EGR control valve is held at a position where it is opened on the valve closure side by a prescribed opening degree from the total closure position, so that adhesion between the valve 3 and the nozzle 2 at the total closure position because of the deposit can be prevented. When an engine is started, the valve 3 of the EGR control valve can thus be easily moved from the total closure position. The valve 3 in the EGR control valve can thus be controlled to a prescribed opening degree in the nozzle 2, thereby EGR gas of desired exhaust gas circulation quantity (EGR quantity) can be mixed in intake air flowing in an intake pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
