<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing color filter for liquid crystal display device which does not cause a wavy variation in the surface even when the protrusions of a color filter for liquid crystal display device are polished and removed by using a planar polishing machine having surface waviness. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the color filter for a liquid crystal display device, a coloring pixel is formed in the state that the peripheral part of the coloring pixel overlaps on the edge part of resin black matrix and the protrusion is formed by overlapping with the coloring pixel on the edge part. When the protrusion is removed by using the planar polishing machine, the protrusion is polished and removed by using the planar polishing machine in which a flexible layer 14 is disposed between a measuring stage 12 and a polishing pad 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
