<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration determining device of an exhaust gas sensor for improving accuracy of this determination by determining the deterioration in the exhaust gas sensor while restraining influence on output of the exhaust gas sensor by noise caused by a change when an unexpected change in the air-fuel ratio is caused when controlling the air-fuel ratio. <P>SOLUTION: This deterioration determining device 1 of the exhaust gas sensor determines the deterioration in the exhaust gas sensor 12 for outputting a detecting signal for expressing a quantity of prescribed component in exhaust gas, and has deterioration determining means 2 and 38 for determining the deterioration in the exhaust gas sensor 12 on the basis of output KACT of the exhaust gas sensor when controlling a fuel injection quantity TOUT according to modulation outputs u(k), DSMSGNS(k), u<SB>s</SB>(k) and u<SB>d</SB>(k) generated by modulating a determining input signal IDSIN on the basis of either one ofΔΣmodulation algorithm,ΣΔmodulation algorithm andΔmodulation algorithm by generating the determining input signal IDSIN for determining the deterioration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
