PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro electromechanical homepolar generator on a substrate and a method of its manufacture. SOLUTION: The micro electromechanical homepolar generator includes a first substrate layer 125 having an axial rotor contact part and a radial edge part each having conductive contacts. An axial contact brush 215 and a radial edge brush 220 are connected respectively to the first/second conductive contacts. At least one conductive disk 105 is placed axially in a straight line with the axial rotor contact part, a circumferential edge of the conductive disk is placed closely adjacent to the radial edge part 115. The axial contact brush 215 and the radial edge brush 220 form electrical contacts respectively to an axial part and a circumferential edge part of the conductive disk 105. At least one magnet 230 is spaced from the conductive disk 105, to generate a magnetic field making a straight line with a rotary shaft 120 of the conductive disk 105. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
