PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk control device and a control method for the same capable of improving deterioration of latent performance and ability of a server and a disk control device using fiber channel communication. SOLUTION: This disk control device has a network control unit for receiving a data input/output request transmitted from an external device through a network and a disk control unit formed in the same circuit substrate of the network control unit and connected to the network control unit through an internal bus provided in the substrate. The disk control unit receives a command transmitted from the network control unit through the internal bus, and inputs or outputs the data to a disk drive in response to the command.
