PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit board with a built-in patterned antenna that can be reduced in size without requiring any excessive substrate space, can prevent influences caused by the mutual noise between the antenna and a wiring pattern or device and an increase in load capacity by making the front and rear surfaces of a substrate electrically connectable to each other without using any via hole. SOLUTION: The patterned antenna is constituted of a main section formed on the side face of a substrate and a connection with an electric circuit formed on the substrate, constituted in a loop antenna composed of side-face sections extended on the internal walls of castellations respectively formed on the side faces of a rectangular substrate and corner sections formed in the corner areas of the surface of the substrate and connect adjacent side-face sections to each other, or constituted in a double loop antenna composed of two loop sections respectively formed on both surfaces of the substrate along the peripheral edge of the substrate and an inter-loop connecting section which is extended from the side faces of the substrate to the peripheral edge areas of both surfaces of the substrate and connects the two loop sections to each other.
