PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aromatic polyamide fiber paper which maintains the original characteristics, such as heat resistance and electric insulation under high humidify, of aromatic polyamide fiber paper, is uniform even in a thin form, has low air permeability and excellent mechanical characteristics, and is especially suitable for producing laminates for electric circuit boards. SOLUTION: This thin fiber paper having a basis weight of 5 to 30g/m<SP>2</SP>is made from para-type aromatic polyamide pulp containing≤10wt.% of the pulp having sizes of≥24 meshes in a sieving test, meta-type aromatic polyamide pulp containing≤10wt.% of the pulp having sizes of≥24 meshes in a sieving test, and para-type aromatic polyamide staple fibers having a single fiber fineness of≤0.90dtex.
