PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffuser for an image illumination light source which can easily be manufactured and has effective diffused light transmissivity and diffusivity. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the light diffuser comprising a perimeter area and a central area wherein the perimeter area contains a light director that directs at least a portion of the light incident on it toward the central area.
