<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid malfunction due to pulling out of a PC card 7 during operation without affecting processing speed. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal device is provided with the following means. A fixed value returning function 51: a fixed value is returned to a CPU 2 when the CPU 2 accesses to an address space of the PC card 7 when the PC card 7 is not mounted in the terminal device 1. A card initializing process 151: data with a particular value different from the fixed value is written in a particular area of the address space of the PC card 7 wherein a value changes only by a writing process by the CPU 2 when the PC card 7 is mounted in the terminal device 1. A card presence/absence determining process 152: the data of the particular area is read when accessing to the PC card 7, read data value of the particular area is compared with the particular value to determine whether they match or not, and it is determined that the PC card has been pulled out and access to the PC card 7 is interrupted when they do not match. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
