<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping grommet structure allowing the assembly of a grommet into a U-shaped cutout portion even in the case of a piping structure such that the grommet cannot be mounted into the pipe at a position apart from a panel having the U-shaped cutout portion or in the case that the pipe passes through the panel in the direction of inclination to a line perpendicular thereto. <P>SOLUTION: The grommet structure comprises the grommet 4 formed in an approximate U-shape along the approximately U-shaped cutout edge of the approximately U-shaped cutout portion 11 and having an outer peripheral face provided with a fitting groove 41 for fitting the approximately U-shaped cutout edge and a protector 5 formed of a foamed rubber material as a soft elastic member to be wound on the outer periphery of a low pressure pipe 2. The protector 5 is compressed and deformed in an inside U-shape 42 of the approximately U-shaped cutout portion 11 with the thrust of a hood ridge cover 6 when closing the approximately U-shaped cutout portion 11 at its opening side, thereby eliminating a gap between a small through-hole formed by the grommet 4 and the hood ridge cover 6 and the low pressure pipe 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
