<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-purity hydroxy group-containing acrylic acid ester which has reduced elimination energy of an ester part and extremely ready elimination of the ester part with an acid. <P>SOLUTION: The hydroxy group-containing acrylic acid ester is represented by general formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or an organic residue; R<SP>2</SP>is an organic residue; Z is an alicyclic structure formed by including a tertiary carbon atom bonded to R<SP>2</SP>) and has ≤1.0 wt.% of the total of a carboxy group-containing compound represented by general formula (2) (R<SP>1</SP>is as shown for R<SP>1</SP>in the formula (1)) and acrylic acid contained as impurities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
