<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article transportation box, which comprises an assembled box body having side walls whose upper ends retain strength and dimensional accuracy, so that no gap is formed between the box body and a box lid, thus the contamination of an article to be transported is prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The article transportation box comprises the box body (1) that is formed by assembling a box body developed forming body made of an expanded polypropylene board. According to the box body (1), an upper edge forming strip is extended from the upper edge of each side wall forming board, and a folding strip is extended consecutively from the upper edge forming strip. Respective boundaries between the side wall forming board and the upper edge forming strip, and between the upper edge forming strip and the folding strip are heated to form an inward folded melting part, while the surface of side wall forming board and that of the folding strip that opposed to each other are heated to form welding/melting part. Each upper edge forming strip and folding strip are folded on respective boundaries, and the inward folded melting part is left harden and the opposed surfaces of side wall forming board and that of the folding strip are welded together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
