METHOD FOR CLARIFYING AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING SODIUM CARBONATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for highly clarifying an aqueous solution containing sodium carbonate easily at a low cost without using special equipment.

SOLUTION: The aqueous solution containing sodium carbonate is clarified by adding the cationic macromolecular flocculant selected from a copolymer of a (meth)acrylic ester compound with acrylamide and a polyamine compound or adding the cationic macromolecular flocculant selected from the copolymer of the (meth)acrylic ester compound with acrylamide and the polyamine compound, and then adding an anionic macromolecular flocculant to the aqueous solution containing sodium carbonate and removing the flocculated precipitates.
