<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the color mode of a printer in unit of page. <P>SOLUTION: When creating a command to be sent to a printer, print setting data provided with a layered structure of a document, sheets binding, and pages called a despool table are created first of all. Print setting is defined for each of the layers. When color/monochrome setting is changed in unit of page or unit of sheet binding by a print control application, change is determined in steps 601-604, and print setting in the despool table is changed on the basis of the change of the color/monochrome setting. A color command for changing color mode of the printer is created on the basis of the changed print setting, and the printer selects the color/monochrome mode on the basis of the color command for printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
