<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a power parking brake device and make the car-mountability excellent by making it possible to push- and pull-operate a manually operating means for emergency releasing. <P>SOLUTION: In the power parking brake device wherein a parking brake 53 is applied by driving the rotation of a rotation transmitting mechanism in the normal direction by the torque of an electric motor 11 and the application of the parking brake 53 is released by driving the rotation of the rotation transmitting mechanism in the reverse direction, the rotation transmitting mechanism (provided with first and second speed reduction devices G1 and G2 for transmitting rotation from the input side to the output side at reduced speed) is interposed with a brake mechanism B1 wherein the braking function can be effective or in-effective by push pull operation. When the braking function is effective, the rotation when torque is transmitted from the input side (electric motor 11) to the output side (a cable guide 51) is allowed and the rotation when torque is transmitted from the output side to the input side is restricted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
