PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow generation of a Z-phase, and to provide thereby both rotational angle detecting performance of high precision and an absolute angle detecting function, in a revolution detector such as a resolver of high detection precision having axial double angle of two or more. SOLUTION: In this revolution detector 1 provided with a signal modulating part 5, and having axial double angle of two or more, the detector 1 is provided, as main constitution, with a Z-phase generating means 3 for generating a position signal (Z-phase) output by one in every one rotation. The Z-phase generating means 3 is constituted of a lower core provided with one cut-out part, and a signal reading-out part for reading a signal generated resulting from the the cut-out part to be processed.
