PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for surely detecting the running-out of gas under a wide operating condition without supplying the power more than needs to the load. SOLUTION: A running-out of gas determining means 10d determines the running-out of gas when an input current determining means 10a determines that the input current of a compressor 1 is less than a predetermined current value, a first temperature determining means 10b determines that an absolute value of the temperature difference between a temperature of an indoor heat exchanger 6 and a temperature of the indoor air is less than a first specific temperature, and a second temperature determining means 10c determines that an absolute value of the temperature difference between a temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger 3 and the outside air temperature is less than a second specific temperature.
