PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll screen device which adapts to a change of sunlight and various living environments, for example, brings about daylighting or a view from an upper part of an opening such as a window and shades or shields a lower part thereof, or brings about the daylighting or the view from the upper and lower parts thereof and shades or shields a central part alone, and which shades or shields only a necessary part and enables the daylighting of the other parts, when necessary. SOLUTION: In this roll screen device, the length of a screen part is made greater in dimension than the height of the opening such as the window; an upper half part is composed of a raw material surface (2) with transparency or a small shading factor; and a lower half part is composed of a raw material surface (3) with shading properties. An upper part and a lower part are provided with an upper take-up roller (1) and a lower take-up roller (4), which are take-up mechanisms, respectively; and the adjustment of the paired take-up rollers (1) and (4) makes screen surfaces different in the shading factor freely moved upward and downward, and enables the adjustment of the position and length of a shading surface.
