PURPOSE: A method and a system for customized search through an intelligent database and a search edit program are provided to automatically convert/store the analog or digital data of various fields into a form giving a weight to each element. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface(110) communicates with a user and an external device. A weighted DTD(Document Type Definition) data generator(120) discriminates the necessary element from the data of each searching field and gives a default weight to each element. The intelligent database(130) stores the weighted DTD data by classifying into each field. A search controller(140) transmits the DTD data matched with the requested keyword by converting the DTD data into a format fit to a specification of a user terminal and the default format if the search is requested from the user, and converts the DTD data again depending on the changed weight if the weight change for each element is requested from the search edit program executed on the user terminal.
