<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a member partitioning the display area of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: Since a display surface coating member 52 is closely mounted on a display surface 51, the light of the liquid crystal display device 50 (liquid crystal panel 53) is emitted to the front part through a partitioning part 58 and it looks as if the partitioning part 58 softly emits light. Thus, a visual appearance is improved compared to the case of showing a partitioned display area 68 displayed at the liquid crystal display device 50 as it is. Also, depending on the display control of the liquid crystal display device 50, change between the case of distinguishing the partitioned display area 68 overlapped with the partitioning part 58 and the other parts (pattern display area 69 and excess display area 71) and emitting the light and the case of attaining a light emission state without distinguishing them is performed and thus the visibility of the partitioning part 58 is operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
