<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flat conductor easy to be manufactured/handled and of low manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a housing 4 which has an opening at an upper front half portion thereof and houses a plurality of contacts 8 facing the opening, a plurality of protrusions 9 integrally formed with the housing 4 are formed downward at an upper portion opposite to the contacts 8. A lid-like pressuring member 7 has shafts at both ends, and contacts with protrusions 9 of the housing 4 and receives pressure from contacts 8 received through a flat conductor pinched at a closing position at which the pressuring member 7 covers and opens/closes the opening.
