PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external control type fan coupling apparatus that is miniaturized and reduced in weight while power is saved and fan rotation control properties are improved. SOLUTION: In the fan coupling apparatus, the inside of a sealed casing supported around a rotary shaft, where a drive disk is stuck, is divided into an oil well chamber and a torque transmission chamber for housing a drive disk by a partition board; the drive torque is transmitted to the side to be driven by oil supplied into the torque transmission chamber; and a valve member operated by an electromagnet opens or closes the circulation path of oil. In the fan coupling apparatus, a magnetic body made of a split structure that is composed and assembled in one piece by an integration structure or a plurality of components is arranged between the electromagnet and the valve member (armature), and the magnetic body is assembled into the sealed casing so that the magnetic flux of the electromagnet can be transmitted to the armature via the magnetic body.
