PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry electrophotographic toner containing an amphipathic copolymer, a method of manufacturing the same, and an electrophotographic image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: The dry electrophotographic toner is amphipathic copolymeric binder particles chemically grown with an organosol-forming substantially nonaqueous liquid carrier. The toner is a dry fine particulate electrophotographic toner in which an amphipathic copolymer incorporates an organosol containing one or more S portions and one or more D portions. The method of manufacturing dry electrophotographic toner particles and the method of electrophotographically forming an image on a substrate using the toner are also described. Preferably, a fluidized drying method is adopted to manufacture dry toner particles from the organosol. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
