PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid type biaxially oriented film that has high weld-cut strength and is excellent in weld-cut sealing properties with bag making processing stability without whiskers or wrinkles. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid type biaxially oriented film is characterized by comprising a polylactic acid (A) and a copolyester (B), wherein the polylactic acid (A) is constituted from L-lactic acid and D-lactic acid in the proportion of L-lactic acid/D-lactic acid being from 100/0-80/20(mol%); the copolyester (B) is constituted from an aromatic and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid components as well as an aliphatic diol component, wherein the mass ratio of the polylactic acid (A) and the copolyester (B) being (A)/(B)=98/2-50/50; and wherein the tensile elongation at the MD direction of the polylactic acid type biaxially oriented film is 100-200% and the tensile modulus is 3.0 GPa or less.
