PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorption structural body of a vehicle capable of relieving impact force at collision in simple structure, easy to repair and capable of restraining repairing cost low. SOLUTION: This energy absorption structural body 1 absorbs and relieves impact added to a bumper provided on a front end part or a rear end part of the vehicle.The energy absorption structural body 1 uses a compression coil spring 2 of hollow structure to extend and contract in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and holds the compression coil spring 2 inside with a holder member 3.The holder member 3 is constituted of a spring pan member 5 to make front and rear ends in the expanding and contracting direction of the compression coil spring 2 contact with each other and a slide guide 6 one end part of which is fixed on the spring pan member 5 and the other end of which is mounted on the other spring pan member 5 free to slide and to make one spring pan member 5 to approach or to separate from the other member 5.
