PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning rod whose condition can variously be changed and which enables smooth spinning operations. SOLUTION: This spinning rod has a tip section-having section 2 at whose butt side end has a butt ring 11, the tip section 3 which is connected to the tip section-having section 2 in a state capable of being inserted or pulled out from the tip side and can be disposed in an extension state pulled out from the tip side of the tip section-having section 2 or in a received state received in the section 2 to hold the butt side end portion in a butt ring 11, and a tip cap 4 which has a cylindrical shape attached to the tip side of the tip section-having section 2 and can be received in the tip section 3 in the extended state and whose butt side end inner circumferential side can detachably be attached to the tip side outer circumferential side of the tip section-having section 2.
