PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water refining apparatus which can efficiently modify water by two electrodes to produce water low in oxidation-reduction potential and automatically allows the scale comprising a calcium component or the like contained in water to be refined adhering to two electrodes to fall even if the scale adheres to the electrodes to dispense with the replacement of the electrodes or scale peeling work over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The water refining apparatus is constituted of a container for electrolysis capable of housing water to be refined, the first and second electrodes arranged in the container for electrolysis, an AC applying circuit for rectifying the AC from the transformer connected to the first electrode and changing over the high frequency in a high frequency oscillator to a positive side and a negative side by a high frequency changeover indicating circuit to supply the same and the earth circuit connected to the almost central part on the side of a rectifier of the transformer connected to the second electrode.
