<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which can be used for recording devices such as audio devices, video devices, various information devices and the like and has excellent recording and playback characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium is constituted by using a polyethylene terephthalate film as a support body. In the polyethylene terephthalate film, the integrated intensities B, A and C of respective peaks satisfy any one condition of (1) 0.1≤A/(A+B+C)≤0.30, (2) 0.20≤A/B≤0.60 and (3) 0.70≤A/C≤1.90, when the peak of bonding energy is separated into three peaks of b, a and c located in the vicinity of 284.6 eV, 286.6 eV and 288.6 eV, respectively, in the C (carbon)-1s spectrum of a recording layer-forming surface measured by an analysis of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
