<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode and manufacturing method of the same capable of improving prolonged stability, and to provide a battery. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode 21 has a diffusion preventing layer 21B formed by a dry or wet deposition method, a negative electrode current collector layer 21C, and a negative electrode activator layer 21D formed on a substrate 21A for deposition made of a plastic or the like. The diffusion preventing later 21B made of Ti or Ta restrains Li from diffusing into the substrate 21A for the deposition, and prevents a breakage of the substrate 21A for the deposition or an exfoliation of the negative electrode current collector layer 21C.
