<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of the sight-impaired persons who depend on the tactile of the sixth sense of sensing the information obtained from the tip of a white stick for the blind, however, when a person impairs vision in the midst of the life, it is very uneasy to depend on the stick, and as a whole, the sight-impaired persons need the safety and assurance in the information obtained from the stick. <P>SOLUTION: Standard bar code sheets 14 for the blind are laid on the existing yellow lanes 12 in facilities, and the like. A detection sensor 11 incorporated in the subject electronic stick detects the bar code and an electronic circuit 7 discriminates it to issue contents which agree with prestored bar code compressed symbols as a sound 5 or to vibrate a specific position vibrating plate 4 to transmit the information such as the direction to the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
