<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generation system having improved efficiency and an increased output at a transmission end by lowering energy loss at a reformer and a carburetor. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell power generation system is structured of a reformer 3 producing reformed gas 27 by the steam reforming reaction of natural gas 1, a fuel cell stack 57 generating power by the electrochemical oxidation reaction of hydrogen or hydrogen and a carbon monoxide in the reformed gas and supplying exhaust heat and fuel electrode exhaust gas 61 to the reformer 3, a CO shift converter 4 transforming the carbon monoxide in the reformed gas into a carbon dioxide and hydrogen, a CO-selective oxidation unit 5 turning the carbon monoxide in exhaust gas 26 of the CO shift converter 4 into the carbon dioxide by oxidizing the carbon monoxide with oxygen, and a fuel cell stack 9 generating power by the electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen in the exhaust gas of a CO-selective oxidizing unit 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
