<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method for a simple basic module group and a circuit using them in regard to a cellular automaton using a novel basic module, a manufacturing method of an asynchronous circuit using the automaton, and a computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the cellular automaton, a plurality of cells are arranged, and the cells are mutually coupled so that a signal indicating a state of a neighborhood cell can be inputted as an input signal to a cell. A cell row propagating the signal indicating a state in the cellular automaton is formed as a signal propagation path, and a cell wherein signal propagation paths collide is formed as an arithmetic part. A state deriving means is provided for having the cellular automaton refer to algorithm for operating the arithmetic part as an arithmetic part. The arithmetic part is connected to three or less signal propagation paths selected from an input signal propagation path, an output signal propagation path, and an input/output signal propagation path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
